Neung Roi is an award-winning Thai restaurant located at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi, National Highway 8, Near IGI Airport, Mahipalpur, New Delhi. I’ve recently visited this place to attend their Mango Magic menu preview. A big thanks to Ruchira for hosting the table for us! 🙂
Join them for a lunch or dinner from 10th June-19th June to taste their Mango Magic menu. It was a wonderful afternoon spent with like minded people; we had a good time chatting with each other over some amazing Thai food this restaurant offers. The ambience of Neung Roi was classy, comfortable and just perfect for a fine dining experience. Their service was good, and it was a pleasure meeting the head chef Yenjai Suthiwaja, she is from Thailand. Such a humble and polite person she is with great culinary skill.
They served us food from their regular menu along with the food they’ve designed for their Mango Magic festival. The food were complex in flavor, bursting with the goodness of fresh Thai ingredients and plated beautifully to please all the senses.
We started our lunch with ‘Miang kham’. It’s a traditional snack cum appetizer of Thailand. This one bite wrap was made with Erythrina fusca leaves, peanuts, bird’s eye chili peppers, shallots, raw mango, coconut etc. It was so good and unique.
Then we were served some appetizers and salads:
Tohu Song Khurg (Tofu & betel nut leaf in pandanus cup with tamarind palm sugar sauce & roasted coconut), Tod Man Khao Pod (Corn fritter with sweet chilli sauce), Porpia Ped (Deep fried duck spring roll with green mango), Yam Som-O (Pomelo salad with crispy onion, garlic & palm sugar tamarind dressing), Yam Mamuang Pla Thod (Raw mango Salad with crispy fish), Yam Gai Yang mamuang (Grilled chicken & raw mango Salad).
All were delectable, the Pomelo salad and Raw mango salad with crispy fish are highly recommended.
To clear the appetizer overload a bit I had their Tom Yum Gai (Spicy & sour chicken soup with lemongrass, kaffirlime & galangal). It was perfect with all the subtle flavours intact. They are going to serve you another variety of soup during their Mango festival, that is Pla Tom mamuang (Fish & raw mango Soup with thai herbs).
For the main course we were served Pla Jaramed Rad Khurg Geang (Deep-fried Whole Pomfret with red curry & sweet mango), Gai Kraprow (Minced Chicken with long beans, hot basil & chilli), Goong Thod Ha Rod (Fried Prawn in a home made five flavor sauce & fresh coriander), Gaeng Kiew Wan Pak (Mixed vegetables in thai green curry), Phad Pak Kiew (Stir fried kale with morning glory, pokchoy, soya bean sauce, garlic & pepper).
Among all these main course food Goong Thod Ha Rod (Fried Prawn in a home made five flavor sauce & fresh coriander) was my personal favourite. The prawns were crisp on the outside and soft inside, the five flavor sauce was so good, loved every bit of it.
They are going to serve you some more variety on main course during their Mango festival. Those are Gaeng Som Pla mamuang (Sour Fish Curry with green mango) and Gai Thod Pad Prik mamuang (Deep fried Chicken with sweet mango sauce)
For dessert there were Sticky Rice & fresh mango slices with Banana Ice cream and Water chestnut in coconut jasmine syrup. Their another Mango festival dessert would be Kati Mousse Kab mamuang (Coconut Brulee with fresh mango).
Overall a fantastic menu preview we had. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy some lip smacking Thai food with Mango loaded flavours.
