Marico has launched Saffola Aura Oil at a recent event in Smoke House Deli, BKC, Mumbai in the presence of Master Chef Kunal Kapur and Nutritionist Pooja Makhija. It’s a healthy oil, which is a blend of 80% Olive Oil and 20% Flaxseed Oil. Saffola Aura is different from other types of olive oil because it combines the benefits of Omega 3 from Flaxseed Oil along with the antioxidants of Olive Oil in single oil. This oil is available in two variants: Extra Virgin Oil for salads and dips and Refined Oil for everyday cooking. In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, it’s important to choose your daily cooking oil carefully, and I hope Saffola Aura will make things better towards living a healthy life.
I was invited to the event along with other bloggers from all over India. The launch happened in front of all bloggers, we enjoyed the live question-answer session thoroughly with Chef Kunal and Nutritionist Pooja. Kunal Kapur said “It’s a first of its kind blend of two super foods that will renew your body cells every time you eat a meal.” He was talking about the importance of cold pressed oils and added how this aura oil has been made followed by the cold pressed method, so the nutrients and vitamins from the olives and flax seeds can remain same in the process of oil making.
There was a cook-off happened between the bloggers after the launch and we were divided into teams for the same. The theme was Italian/Indian cooking by using Aura oil. A list of ingredients was given to every team, and the usage of 4 ingredients was mandatory from that list. Ours was a team of 3, and we made an Indian-Italian fusion Red Pasta with Avocado cream cheese salad.
As a team, we had so much fun and enjoyed a lot cooking together. The name of our dish was ‘Sunset Surprise’.
The winning team of the Cook-off was given a surprise gift, a Master class from Chef Kunal Kapur. A great evening spent with like minded people and chatting with Kunal Kapur was an enriching experience altogether.
