I’m a Big fan of crispy, cheesy Garlic Breads. And like many of you I too couldn’t able to figure out why those Garlic breads in restaurants are so yummy and different than what we make at home. What goes into them? Those were my initial days into Italian foods. The puzzle solved slowly and steadily.
Now I’m making these garlic breads from last few years. This is a very easy recipe, even kids can do with some supervision of yours, and everything comes together under 15 minutes.
Restaurant style Garlic Breads
Ingredients
- Long loaf bread/Baguette- 1
- Butter- ¼ cup (it should be in room temperature)
- Garlic paste- 1 tsp
- Mozzarella cheese
- Oregano
- Chilli flakes
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 C. Cut the baguette into thick slices.
Arrange the bread slices on a baking tray or oven proof plate lined with baking paper or you can line the tray with aluminium foil too.
Mix garlic paste with butter. Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice, the buttered side should be facing upwards. Now add a generous amount of grated mozzarella cheese on top. Sprinkle some oregano and chilli flakes. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Garlic breads would be done when the cheese melts completely, and some light brown spots appear on top. Keep an eye for this. Every oven is different.
Serve your ‘Restaurant style Garlic Breads’ immediately with some tomato ketchup. Enjoy!
Note:
- This can be done with other variety of breads too.
- Before baking you can use garlic bread seasoning on top of the bread slices instead of oregano. If using, don’t apply garlic butter on them. Use plain butter only.
