Easy to cook, Gajar ka Halwa is a popular Indian dessert that especially made during the winter. Try this family recipe to make the best version of it.
Cut off both ends from each carrot, peel and wash well. Now grate them and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a deep frying pan (nonstick preferably), temper with green cardamoms and bay leaves.
Now add the grated carrots and salt. Mix well, cover and cook on low heat, stir in between.
Add sugar, raisins, and nuts when carrots are half cooked. Mix well, cover and cook on low heat until carrots become soft.
Add grated mawa, mix and remove from the heat.
Serve Carrot Halwa warm, enjoy!
